This is our style called "Motley Crew", which is a basic crew style sock. The yarn colorway is called "Shamrocks", which I hand painted with random accents of evergreen and turquoise on a pale lime backround.
The kit includes 440 yards of our hand painted 2 ply wool sock yarn (fingering weight), a set of our handcrafted birch wood sock needles, our hand beaded row counter and full illustrated instructions to make these socks. This all comes in a plastic drawstring bag for storage.
Everything you need is included to learn & complete a beautiful pair of handknit socks. Basic knitting knowledge is needed. I like the crew style sock myself because they do not slide down when you wear them. The ribbing holds to your leg but has a lot of comfortable give.
It is always a good time to knit yourself a pair of socks or a gift for someone special.
We use non-toxic, colorfast dyes and have a smoke free environment. We take great pride in our work here in Maine and enjoy creating each yarn with various blends and colors.
